A wedding isn't just a one-day celebration—it's a memory that lasts a lifetime. And when a wedding takes place in your own home, the feeling is far more special than any banquet hall. Your own door, your own courtyard, your own people—no luxury venue can offer this combination.
These days, the trend of wedding decoration, both indoors and outdoors, is rapidly growing in India. One of the most popular and beautiful ways is the chunni and dupatta decoration, along with the use of artificial flowers. This decoration style not only looks beautiful but is also deeply Indian, cultural, and traditional.
Florivish does just that in Delhi, Noida, and Gurgaon. They transform your home into a place guests can't take their eyes off. Call now: +91 87083 88018.
Wedding decoration from outside means making your gate, door, balcony, railings, and pillars look like a wedding venue. When a guest sees your house from a distance, they immediately know something special is happening here.
At Floriwish, we use only two things for decoration: chosen dupatta fabric and artificial flowers. No heavy structures, no complicated wiring—just color, fabric, and flowers. This approach works for both 1-floor and 2-floor homes, and we decorate one entire side of the house, from the gate all the way up.
Chunni and dupatta are not just garments—they are the very essence of an Indian wedding. For years, Indian homes have been adorned with this array of garments, and even today, when a home is draped in chunnis, a unique atmosphere of joy is created.
This decoration is most loved because it exudes a completely Indian and traditional feel. Red, pink, green, yellow, white, and blue—all these colors combine to create an image that looks stunning on any camera. It's also budget-friendly yet grand. This combination of beautiful fabrics and flowers is more appealing than an expensive lighting setup or a massive stage.
Another special thing: it fits any type of home. Whether it's a small apartment or a large bungalow, this decor always looks beautiful. And thanks to the artificial flowers, it stays fresh and vibrant throughout the wedding, with no fear of fading.
We treat decoration like an art. Our entire process is meticulous and planned so you only have to do one thing: enjoy your wedding.
Step 1 — Site Visit: First, we visit your home and note the size of the gate, the length of the railing, and the height of the pillars. This visit also assesses your wedding theme and color preferences.
Step 2 — Fabric Selection: We select the color of the Chunni and Dupatta based on your theme. We only use premium-quality fabrics that are vibrant, soft, and flutter beautifully in the breeze.
Step 3 — Artistic Draping: Our skilled team lovingly adorns individual spots on the gate, balcony, pillar, and door. Chunnis are draped in a flowing style to create a beautiful waving effect in the breeze.
Step 4 — Flower Placement: Artificial flower bouquets and garlands are placed strategically along the chunni—in the center of the railing, on both sides of the gate, and above the door.
Step 5 — Final Check: Once the work is complete, we go over the entire decoration. Every drape is checked, the position of every bouquet is checked—we leave only when we are 100% satisfied.
Gate and Main Door: The gate is everyone's first impression, so we decorate it with the most attention. Chunni draping, fresh flower garlands and haars, and artificial flower bouquets on both sides create a grand and welcoming arch around the gate. A dupatta over the main door creates an arch that looks absolutely filmy and looks even more amazing in photos.
Balcony Chunni Decoration: Draping colorful chunnis on the balcony creates a look that's visible from a distance. Drape chunnis on the railing in such a way that they appear to be waving in the breeze. Artificial flower bouquets and garlands are placed in between, making the entire balcony look like a flower-filled garden.
Rajasthan Chatri Decoration: This is our speciality. Rajasthani-style colourful Chattris decorated with flowers and beads are placed above the gate or on the pillars. They shine even from a distance and give the house the feel of a royal Rajasthani wedding. Everyone passing by stops and takes a look.
Artificial Flower Bouquets: Pink, white, red, yellow, blue, green—we use artificial flower bouquets of all colours. These are placed on railings, gates and near doors. Compared to real flowers, they stay fresh and vibrant for a much longer time and don't wilt at all throughout the wedding.
Fresh Flower Garlands, Haar, and Green Leaf Garlands: Along with artificial flowers, we also place fresh flower garlands, haar, and green leaf garlands at the entrance and gate. These add a natural fragrance that makes the entire atmosphere pleasant.
Living Room and Drawing Room: We create a dupatta ceiling canopy in the living room, where colored dupattas are hung in a fan or wave pattern on the ceiling, giving the entire room a festive tent-like feel. We also place a selected backdrop on the walls and add artificial flower arrangements. A photo booth corner is also very popular, where guests frequently take photos against the colorful dupatta backdrop.
Staircase Decoration: Draping chunni on the stair railing and artificial flower garlands in between creates a very cinematic effect. Placing bouquets both above and below creates a grand entrance. If you have a staircase in your home, be sure to get this decoration done.
Pooja Room and Mandap: The most sacred place in the house. Here, we use white and gold chunni draping, marigold and rose garlands. Drape the pillars of the mandap with dupatta fabric and create a beautiful chunni canopy above. The whole place feels divine and peaceful, like a temple.
Bridal Room: The bride's room deserves to be special. Pink and white chunnis, rose petals, and artificial flower arrangements transform the bridal room into a dreamy place. A dupatta canopy above the bed, flower bouquets on the dresser, and a dupatta valance on the window—all combine to create a room the bride will remember forever.
Red and Gold — Perfect for a traditional Hindu wedding, baraat, and music. Symbolizes joy and celebration.
Pink and White — Best for receptions, bridal rooms, and daytime ceremonies. Soft, romantic, and looks great on camera.
Green and Yellow — Most popular for Haldi, Mehendi, and outdoor daytime events. Gives a fresh and energetic feel.
Blue and Gold — Royal look for evening receptions and grand entrances. Even more dazzling at night.
Saffron and White — Divine combination for puja rooms, mandaps, and religious ceremonies. Gives a sense of peace.
Multicolour – For Music and Mehendi, when all the colours are applied together, it gives a wonderful Dhamaal look.

Main Gate and Entrance Decoration
The entrance of the house is crucial for guests; it sets the first impression. Create a large arch of fresh flowers at the gate. Roses, marigolds, and orchids paired with colorful chunni, drapes, and flower bouquets provide a warm welcome.
Turning on fairy lights in the evening sets a dreamlike mood. Hang traditional torans made of mango leaves and marigold flower strings on the door. Installing LED curtain lights on both sides makes the entry sparkle. Decorate a welcome board with the couple's names written on it using flowers.
From the gate to the main door, line the pathway with lights or diyas in decorative holders. Hang string lights from above to create a starry canopy effect that looks great at night.
Placing LED candles in glass lanterns offers safe and romantic lighting without the risk of a real flame. Hang paper lanterns in wedding colors at different heights for a playful touch.
Create a canopy of overhead string lights on the terrace, which is perfect for evening ceremonies. Edison bulb strings give off warm vintage lighting that looks great in photos. Hang paper lanterns in clusters at different heights.
Install fairy light curtains on railings and walls for added sparkle. LED strip lights under the seating area and along the edges provide a soft glow. Suspend a floral chandelier from a temporary structure to serve as a focal point.
Living Room and Main Hall Flower Decoration
The main hall of the house, where the ceremony takes place, needs elaborate flower decoration. Decorate the mandap with fresh flowers. Arrange roses, carnations, and orchids in either traditional or modern designs. Create floral curtains using strings of jasmine or marigolds.
Mount flower arrangements in decorative urns on the walls. Hang flower garlands from ceiling hooks to form a canopy effect. Placing lilies, gladiolus, or birds of paradise in tall vases in the corners adds height and drama.
Place mixed flowers in gold or silver bowls on low tables as centerpieces. Scatter rose petals around the mandap for a traditional charm. Create a floral rangoli design at the entrance.
