Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1

How long does fresh fruit cake stay good after delivery?

Accepted Answer

A freshly delivered fruit cake typically stays fresh for 2-3 days at room temperature and up to 5-7 days when refrigerated. For cakes with cream or fresh fruit toppings, refrigeration is essential and they should be consumed within 2-3 days for best taste and safety.

Question 2

What are the delivery charges for fruit cake orders across India?

Accepted Answer

Delivery charges vary by distance and order value. Most bakeries offer free delivery for orders above ₹500-₹1000 within city limits. For intercity deliveries, charges typically range from ₹50 to ₹200 depending on the location and delivery speed you choose.

Question 3

Can I get same-day fruit cake delivery in your city?

Accepted Answer

Yes, many online bakeries provide same-day delivery if you place your order before their cutoff time (usually 12 PM to 2 PM). This service is commonly available in major metros and cities, though availability depends on your exact pincode and the bakery's delivery network.

Question 4

Are eggless fruit cake options available for online orders?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Most online cake shops offer eggless versions of their fruit cakes to accommodate vegetarian preferences and dietary restrictions. You can select the eggless option during checkout or mention it in special instructions.

Question 5

Can I customize the fruit cake with a personal message or photo?

Accepted Answer

Yes, customization options include adding personalized messages, names, special greetings, and even edible photo prints on the cake. You'll need to provide these details during the ordering process, and some bakeries may charge extra for photo printing services.

Question 6

What should I do if my fruit cake arrives damaged?

Accepted Answer

Contact the bakery's customer service immediately with photos of the damaged cake. Reputable online bakeries have replacement or refund policies for damaged deliveries. Most will either send a fresh cake at no extra cost or issue a full refund within 24-48 hours.

Question 7

Is midnight or early morning fruit cake delivery possible?

Accepted Answer

Many online bakeries offer midnight delivery (11 PM to 12 AM) and early morning delivery (6 AM to 8 AM) for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries. These premium delivery slots usually involve additional charges of ₹100-₹300.

Question 8

How much advance notice is needed for bulk fruit cake orders?

Accepted Answer

For bulk orders (typically 10+ cakes), most bakeries require 3-5 days advance notice to ensure quality and timely preparation. For corporate events or weddings requiring larger quantities, placing orders 1-2 weeks ahead is recommended.

Question 9

Are sugar-free or diet-friendly fruit cakes available online?

Accepted Answer

Yes, many online bakeries now offer sugar-free fruit cakes made with natural sweeteners or sugar substitutes for diabetic and health-conscious customers. You can also find options like whole wheat cakes, gluten-free versions, and low-calorie fruit cakes in specialty stores.
